NPA24 Member Posts: 588 ■■□□□□□□□□On June 24,2003 Cisco introduced the new CCNA 640-801 exam, replacing the 640-607 version.
So to answer your question you have a valid book for the current exam. -
Dustystrat Member Posts: 10 ■□□□□□□□□□Thanks for the replies.
It's not a book. It's CBT Nugget Video CDs. I got them at a garage sale in a bundle... the 4 CCNA CD's were mixed in with likes of Tomb Raider II, Max Payne, Freelancer and Divine Divinity. I did not get manuals for any of them. (Not even jewel cases... they were on a spindle )
It turns out it tells you what version it's for part-way through the second video... and it's the 607. Weird that one CD says Sep 2003 on it in small print and it's past the time the test changed. Anyway... I planned on using them along with the Sybex Lammle Deluxe book that came with the simulators.
I'd buy the new Nuggets but they are too expensive.
I'll watch them anyway of course. It's not like what's in them is not real info. Just not focussed on the 801. I suppose I'll have to pick through them a bit though. And I'll hop on Cisco's site to compare the objectives from old and new.
Thanks again.Working on CCNA -
kadshah Member Posts: 388 ■■■□□□□□□□i recently brought the CBT nugget CCNA which i downloaded from there site it cost me $300 and i can say for me at least it was worth every penny. The instructer which i think his aname is Amilio a big happy guy really knows the material inside out. I brought Todd lammle's book first but had a hard time understanding certain topics but the CBT nugget video
helped me get through it. -

Dustystrat Member Posts: 10 ■□□□□□□□□□Yeah... It's kinda neat.
I read a chaper in Todd's Sybex book and then watch the nugget that pertains to what I read to hopefully make it stick in my head.

There were 25 CD's or so. Some were junk. You know... 1001 Windows games... and Snoopy Sing-a-Long... and such.
Anyway. $20 for the spindle.Working on CCNA -
