I have a question about getting Microsoft cert

I have heard that when you get the Microsoft cert it is valid for life and that their is no need to renew it. could anyone please point me in the direction that I could read about that or provide some validation to the truth if this.

The certifications don't expire, but the exams are retired.

Your certification title will still show on your transcript. But the exam will be labeled as retired.2011 Certification Plans so far:
