how to VMware Tools into red hat enterprise Linux server.

Please need a step by step help for installing the VMware Tools into red hat enterprise Linux server.
My host ' Physical pc ' : windows xp sp3 with 4 gb ram , cpu intel pentium 3.4 ghz
Guest ' rhel enterprise linux server 6 '
the kernel is :2.6.32-71.el6.i686
i'm running vmware 7

I must be lost why are you looking for GCC? In addition RHEL 6 when installed it typically has GCC referenced already.

If you don't have GCC installed then install it using the RHEL package management tools. If you don't want to have GCC on your VM then you're going to have to clone the VM, install GCC, compile the VMware tools modules for that kernel and copy them over manually to your other VM.
