take your time with the study. if you haven't worked with computers for long, it will seem very longwinded and generally hard to understand.

try taking a computer apart and putting it back together again. also www.pcguide.com is a great site.

Collect several website and bookmark them into your special folder for A+.
Next go get yourself a good book and perform many lab exercises
