Techies,
I'm currently pursuing the MCITP:EA. I have heard that Windows Server 2012 is just around the corner.
My question is, will MCITP:EA become old once Server 2012 is released ?
will there be a new MCITP:EA 2012 ? or will the 2008 certification still be the latest MCSE.
What do you guys think ? abandon plans for the one im pursuing and wait for the new Server 2012 tracks ?
Let me know, thanks.

If you already working or want to enter the field soon, start with 2008 (or even 2003). If you are in highschool or 1st or 2nd year of a bachelors program, maybe wait for 2012.
I think the rumored RTM date for windows 2012 is mid-2012. That could get moved back.Andy

Having looked at Small Business Server 2011, which I would assume is in some small way similar to Server 2012, everything looks very similar to Server 2008. I don't really know what the major changes are. But they are not so new that you would have to relearn everything, it would be a great refresher course doing the 2012 EA upgrade exams. I still plan on doing the 2008 EA upgrade exam when I complete my MCSE, and then any future 2012 EA upgrade exam.

Actually, SBS 2011 is nothing more than 2008R2 + Exchange 2010 + Bit different management console. No clues about 2012 in SBS 2011.
Today 2003 still is more popular than 2008, so I guess the same may be with Server 2012, so Server 2008 certs may be useful for 5-7 years from now.2013 to do list:

By the way, will server 2012 be just one exam ? Microsoft won't be releasing a whole slew of server 2012 tracks ? or will they ? ! -
