Anyone root a NookColor yet?
Read an article on this, looks relatively painless. Once it is done, do you still have the WI-FI intact, and the 3G, or do you loose the 3G upon rooting?

I can't speak for the 3G as I didn't get that option, not sure if it's available on the Nook Color or not, however Wi-Fi works beautifully. It is funny to have Kindle for Android on the Nook. The only headache you may run into is when they do a firmware update from B&N, I had it brick the system an update ago. The device has a pretty neat unbricking feature, power on and off 8 times without successfully getting into the device and it'll reset to factory defaults.WGU BS:IT Completed June 30th 2012.
