Epic Study Material?

I'm currently studying for my Security+ and I've been thoroughly enjoying the Darril Gibson book, which many people on this forum have highly praised. I've been dancing around the idea of getting my A+ shortly after, and because of this, I would like to start ordering the material soon (since I usually go to amazon).

So what would be the best material for A+? Should I just go with the Meyers book, or are some CBTs needed, or is there another book?

Also, I'm curious. How long do most people study for A+??

I used the Sybex book ,exam cram(InformIT: CompTIA A+ 220-701 and 220-702 Practice Questions Exam Cram, 4th Edition ), measureup, and Lab Sim(LabSim - IT Certification Training With Online Labs ). You can get a student discount on the lab sim, if you’re a college student. On the other hand, you could probably skip lab sim and still pass the exam. I just liked how the videos explained everything and it help me better understand the material. They explained it better than my college courses. Also, I volunteered at free geek, so that I could get some experience taking apart and rebuilding computers. I pasted a link below for Free Geek:

    • Columbus, OH
    • South Bend, IN (Michiana)
    • Vancouver, BC (Canada)
    • Seattle, WA
    • Murfreesboro, TN (Born Again - no longer recycling)
    • Minneapolis-Saint Paul, MN (Twin Cities)
    • Toronto, ON (Canada)
    • Providence, RI

Good Luck I hope this helps!

Meyers and Sybex are the texts to consider for this exam (if not both).

Experience is what you really want first, so if you have that, then check out Meyers book and a 2nd as an alternative reference, plus of course a copy of the objectives.

    'i' before 'e' except after 'c'.... weird?
