Been a few days since my last update.

I have decided my revision plan, for sitting the written by end of Feb.

Reread CCIEv4, Boson, labbing at least in the weekends along with my hour of INE videos every morning while on the exercise bike.

any spare time fine tuning anything i can.

How are your written plans? Time to knock it out and apply that work ethic to lab prep this year. Many lab practice hours ahead for you in 2012!

No worries! Life always gets in the way, just get your stuff sorted, then get back on track.
Last time I checked, the CCIE will always be here, waiting for the next TE member to crack it ;)

Just take it when you're ready and be sure to hammer away on boson in the final weeks leading up to your written. Pay close attention to the explanations.

    Hello all,

Still revising as much as possible, tomorrow i fly out for another week away from home.

Hope to be going in soon get it out the way.

    :)

    P.S

i am so over reading atm :)

    Morning all,

It has been a while, yes same as above, just keep getting flown around the country on other projects.
Which in turn means time familiarizing myself with the setup hardware/software and the people i am going to see, and troubleshoot.
I don't remember the last time i got to go on a project, just to do the project and not just the troubleshooting.

Onto the CCIE written, i have been keeping at it when time permits, i am also just about to start the second week off from work.
This has been great two weeks of nothing but revision, i would say written in the next 2 to 3 weeks max.
Hopefully i can came back and say i have made it through the first part :) onto the LAB prep.

That you very much to all who dropped past :)

I have decided to use INE, i have ordered the package and awaiting its delivery.
I believe it can be up to two weeks. I have had one week off for a rest, think i will go through routing TCTP/IP vol I and II while waiting.
Unless anyone has a better suggestion ?

    cheers

Today was a slow start, helping the wife, everyone getting used to the fact i will not be around much and jumping when they wish ;)

Started on the configs, modifying them to my interfaces. Gonna be a lot of changes as i work my way through the workbooks.
Mapped out the L2 and L3 topology, who would have guessed loading pre configured configs would put you off so much.
cleared the cob webs and on with the first few tasks/verification.

Tomorrow looking to hit it hard, now i have got going.

Got a lot better session today.

Started at section 1.2 ended after 1.15, covering layer two, vlans, port channel, ether channel, dtp, encapsulation. and so on.
Tomorrow we start at 802.1q tunneling.
Great time, so far feels like taking the long way round before even starting CCIE has been well worth it.

Tonight's study time was on section 1.17 -18
Covering 802.1q tunneling along with ether-channel over 802.1q tunneling.
Found more typos and missing information in the training materials, but it just adds to the troubleshooting ;)
Good night doing different setups, verifying, troubleshooting. If i have time at work tomorrow i will got through the RFC;s.

    P.S

is it just me or do you think This is just MPLS (MPLS lite) using vlans icon_wink.gif

    Tomorrow we hit STP
