Will take Sec+ in 2 weeks!

Hi everyone,

I am planning to take the sec+ test in 2 weeks, I read Darrill's book and keep practicing the questions in it! Any thing else I need to take care of? Will SY0-301 destroy my plan, please advice?

    What do you mean by destroy your plan? the exam is not out yet (will be in June I guess)

    You are fine taking the 2008 objectives (the current exam). The new exam that is supposed to come out is just updates to the exam not necessarily radically different information.

    For example, my A+ certification is for the 2005 objectives. The 701/702 objectives are for Vista (as far as I know, haven't taken the new one), so the information is radically different. The security industry however changes very slowly (well, at least the main concepts such as encryption, malware, hardening, etc).

    Yes, I meant that the new objectives wont be out next week!
