IOS for 1721 in CCNA Lab

Hi, I ordered a 1721 that has 16 mb Flash and i wanted to know which 12.4 IOS i needed to be efficient in my CCNA Lab. Thank you

Unfortunately, I don't believe you can run 12.4 on that router. The flash can't be upgraded--you need to get one with 32mb flash to run 12.4. I'm sure someone with more experience will confirm this or correct me, if I'm mistaken.

That is what I was thinking and I did not think about it till after I got it from CablesandKits. I found a 32 flash for 40 or so and ill just get that but what purpose could my 16 flash 1721 serve

If you're studying for the CCNA, you don't really need 12.4. There's a few versions of 12.2 and 12.3 that will run on that router with 16MB of flash, and that'll get you through the CCNA.

On the Cisco Downloads page on the 12.4 for the 1721 it said i could install Enterprise Base or IP Base. Which one would be better for my situation? Thanks
