Honestly, I got a cheater disk. Its got A+, Net+ and Sec+ on it. Its just a bunch of tests. But if you score in the 90's on the tests, you pass with flying colors on the real exam.

I have looked at the CBT Nuggets for Net+, and it looked alright. I'm not going to use it now though, because I've decided to just skip Net+ and go right into my CCNA.
    Taking:
    Network+ - 6May2011
    2011/2012 Goals:
    CCNA / CISSP
    Books & Videos:
    CBT Network+

What sort of cheater disk are you using? Was it some sort of ****?

To be honest, it must be. The questions and answers for some of the A+ stuff was word for word. I didn't use it on the Sec+.

I got it from an instructor who tought us A+.

You should contact the training center to make them aware that one of their instructors was giving out the test questions during class. If Comptia found about it, they would get in a lot of trouble.

This was a military thing, I have no idea how to get in touch with them.

They did give us a card, it was a private contractor who came in to give the exam and class, but I'm not sure what I did with it. It might be in my book still.

I'll let you know if I find anything, and if I can get in touch with the company.

I tried to use the CBT Nuggets videos and it was a bit confusing when you compare it to the PrepLogic LearnSmart Video training program. I purchased the Ultimate Access program which provides you up to one (1) voucher per month and the product seems to be pretty solid overall.

There are few areas that are either lacking or poorly presented, but when you use Darril Gibson's book to help reinforce the concepts you learned from the videos, I think you have a pretty solid training experience. I use the videos to introduce me to some of the concepts that are a bit more challenging for me like Cryptography and then use the great examples and analogies in Darril's book to understand them in greater detail.

Additionally, the videos from PrepLogic seem to be built a little bit better than the CBT videos from my experience. The whiteboard drawings can be a bit confusing depending on the trainer, while the PowerPoint presentations from the PrepLogic videos are a bit easier to read and understand.

So far I've found the video's to be pretty good

I'm only into the 3rd module but it is very similar so far to the mate4rial I covered in school in 2006.

I've always had the most trouble with the cryptography and PKI stuff

I've found CBT Nuggets to be a nice tool, but don't expect to watch the videos and expect to the pass the exam based on the videos alone. Other books and practice test will supplement them nicely.

I planned to do some practice tests and buy the kindle book for Darril's security+ book

You can't go wrong with Darril's book. My ability to understand reading material is pretty bad and most of the content in his book made good sense to me. I still needed other sources to supplement my learning though.
