I am getting ready to start studying fot the cert. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use for study materials?

This is what helped me:

Project+ certification - Free Practice test and Guide -uCertify (Go for the 2009 Objectives...they are IMO easier than the 2003 objectives)

Amazon.com: CompTIA Project+ Study Guide: Exam PK0-003 (9780470585924): Kim Heldman, William Heldman: Books

Spent about a little less than 2 weeks with both of them, but if you have NO project management experience at all (and not as a project manager, but just part of a project that uses project management methodology) then you will most likely spend more time on these resources.

I used the Cybex book and went through the flash cards countless times.

Nothing earth shattering, but it's the method I used. I failed once and then passed the second time.
