Question about Cisco UCM
in CCNA & CCENT
I have a group project at school. We were assigned a cisco 2951 ISR router and a MCS 7828 appliance to provide VoIP services for a small company. I am just starting to work on my CCNA at this point.
Quick question about cabling an ISR router and a Cisco MCS 7828 appliance. Would they be connected via ethernet?
Thanks in advance.

The Unified Communications Manager appliance is basically a stripped down LINUX server – so yes, it would connect via Ethernet. Hopefully they’re going to give you a switch to work with tooCCNP:Collaboration, CCNP:R&S, CCNA:S, CCNA:V, CCNA, CCENT -

Ok, that makes more sense. We are given a Catalyst 2960 switch - forgot to put that in earlier. Would you need a layer 3 switch between the UCM and the 2960?
