I have the book too. I have to agree it is dry. We've been told we have to get Solaris Certification, so Linux takes a back seat. When I studied for Sec+, I used SkillSoft to test. It took a while to get a good score. On Linux+, I passed the first time I took the practice test. I just bought the LinuxCTB.com DVD for Solaris. $500 unless you can get a student discount, but it has 70 hours of training. It will take me a while to get through it.
