Hey guys
I'm not 100% sure on how much DRAM this 2611 has.
I have the show version below

Is it the 36864K/4096K added together to make 40MB ?

Or is it the 32K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory (32MB)

Thanks !

    36864K + 4096K

36864 for IOS loaded into ram and system processes
    4096 for packets

If you were to open the case, you would find that you have 1 32MB Stick and 1 8MB stick of DRAM. You also have 8MB Flash. I would definitely upgrade by replacing the 8MB DRAM module with another 32MB module and upgrade the flash to 16MB (requires module replacement).

    Thanks for the reply

Do you recommend any good/legit places to purchase memory for routers/switches etc?

I've seen stuff on ebay but an actual site is just a lot easier to deal with.
