Usmt 70-680 ?

How much in depth do i need to study USMT? Do I need to know the syntax involved with it or basically just what it does? Seems all my resources do not go much in detail about it.

I think as long as you know to use scanstate first, then loadstate you should be fine.
I would also review some of the basic syntax and know when to use USMT. The exams seem to focus more heavily on the newer tools, like DISM, ImageX, etc.
