I just started up Mozilla Thunderbird and it decided to re-download all email messages from all of my email accounts. Any ideas? The only thing I can think of is some sort of bug with the latest version of Thunderbird that was recently released.

Is your incoming e-mail server IMAP? If so, I think it sometimes does.
Or may be it lost its thunder. Your mailbox got corrupted? -

lol @ "it lost its thunder."
I did at first consider the possibility that the files that store local copies got corrupted but I'm doubtful that the inbox file for all of my accounts got corrupted unless there is a bug with the latest version. I am using IMAP for all accounts. I also checked the application log in Event viewer to see if Thunderbird reported an error but no error messages were present.
