Go ahead and order books to study with. It doesn't take a trainer to pass a CompTIA certification.

I would highly suggest if you want to get started in IT security start using Linux. Ubuntu specifically. There are no lack of of free Linux tutorials out there. After you have three months experience self-teaching and helping people on Ubuntu's forums. Then come back to us for your next step-Daniel
