in CCNA & CCENT
Failed ICND with 720 I really cant understand the reason. none of the questions were out of this world ! i knew all the questions VERY WELL!!
In troubleshooting i got a question in which 3 routers were not able to communicate. I added an RIP network and all the 3 routers were working fine!!! all ping and stuff!! That was a SIM... And in the score i just got 40 % in troubleshooting!!! How is it possible!!
I figured out the mistakes in other 2 troubleshooting questions just by looking at them!! (i cant disclose the questions here!!) but i am 100 % sure i was right! Donno where this result came from!!
anyways thats it! no more CCNA . i agree i am a looser !

porengo Member Posts: 343Sorry to hear that you didn't pass your ICND on this attempt. Notice how I said "on this attempt?" I said that, because you sound as if you're ready to throw the towel in, and give up.
Reread the posts, in the CCNA forum, of those who have taken the exam and have failed (myself included). However, you will also find that those same people never gave up and eventually passed their CCNA certification.
You put in too much time and effort to let it all go to waste. So, take a few days to evaluate what you may have done wrong on the exam, and concentrate on improving those areas. By the way, did you make sure to did a "copy run start," before ending your sims?
I expect to see a posting from you in the next few weeks bragging about being a new CCNA. -
Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminSorry to hear that indeed. And I understand it is dissapointing but I agree with Porengo, you put a lot of time and effort in it already, you already passed the CCNA Intro exam, so you can't give up now. With the current high passing score many people need a second attempt to pass it. You didn't fail, you just didn't pass yet.

I think you've found your answer. -

Any clues how much wud a SIM worth? i had just 1 sim in the exam. But due to stress i just pinged and stuff and proceeded to the next question coz i had less then 7 mins left for 2 questions and i was expecting one more sim out of left 2 question...but i had just 1 in total.
There were other 2 trblshooting questions and i can bet on it that i did them right!(still got 40 % in troubleshooting)
Overall exam was not too difficult in itself... coz i read Todd lammle's book for first page to the last page! So nothing "new" came in the exam!:santa: -
porengo Member Posts: 343I'm not sure how many points the sims are worth. However, one of the key reasons why Cisco certifications are so highly regarded is because you must be able to pass the hands-on portion of the exam. With that in mind, I would assume that they score their sims pretty high.

rahulnc Member Posts: 2 ■□□□□□□□□□Wow .. I was about to post my story here .. but looks like someone else has gone through the exact same stuff already.
I took my CCNA 640-801 exam today, the second time. Me too had easy questions and just one sim and the sim was similar too. And I sis the same mistake .. did not perform "copy run start" - Damn it could well mean the difference between CCNA and no CCNA. I scored 775 which is still better than my previous score of 722. However I don't think I answered much wrong besides that!!
Damn those sims .. anyways I am off to prepare for my third attempt.

Third attempt!! U R very courageous! Gud luck with it! Damn copy run start. i wud have got a lot better score if i did that, so i cud focus on other topics other than thinking of copy run start!
Well next time whether need or not i will do that...what do u guys reckon, when should i give next ICND. i am planning it within 2 days.
And the most interesting part of the story! the test centre owner some chinese looked at my passport pic for 10 mins...my passport pic then me..then pic then me.......for continous 10 mins!! I have never been through such intensive checking even at times when i departed Australia!:santa: -
walaboom Member Posts: 23 ■□□□□□□□□□When I had my first attempt, I thought i had everything right, but I missed by 1 question. When I take it the second time, a lot of questions were same as first attempt, but instead, I read the question VERY CAREFULLY on my second attempt and I actually answered them with different answers.
Read the questions and answers carefully, even if you think the answer is choice A, still finish reading choice B C and D, just because reading other choices might change the way you answer a question.
Copy run start, copy run start, copy run start, more copy run start.
Good luck :P<a href="http://healthyandenergy.com/frs-energy/">FRS Healthy Energy</a>
