The 2811 router comes with 256 DDR ram already installed. Are there any issues with just adding a 512MB chip for a total of 768MB or RAM, or are you not supposed to put two different sized memory sticks in the router?

Samsung and Micron work fine in the 2811's but if its not Cisco approved then if you ever open a Cisco TAC case and you submit your "show tech support" they will tell you to remove it or they will not help you. There is no place like 127.0.0.1

When going through the output of the 'show tech' command, I discovered the 'show c2600' and 'show platform' commands, which solved a problem that bugged me on and off - Determining the Cisco Router Memory Configuration. I wrote a blog post to file this.
