Good deal or too good to be true?

So I'm looking for new pc. Can't spend that much though. Ran across a deal for a PowerSpec 8737 :

P4 3.06 GHz
XP Pro
512MB DDR SDRAM
160GB 7200RPM hard drive
CD-RW

$499 after $100 rebate when you apply for Visa card.

Sound good? Anyone have opinions on PowerSpec?

Check those Visa offers. You may get a great deal for a system, but get screwed by the Visa with some very small print, or some condiotion. I would recco just getting a barebone system and build it yourself if you can.

Look the other way. They'll get you somehow. Build the PC yourself.

Thanks all for the advice. I'll have to use a credit card whether I build it myself or not. Just don't have that much cash to throw down at once right now (will after tax returns though!). I'm kinda in a hurry since I'm taking the 70-270 and I need the XP experience for the exam.
