Looking at his certification list, which includes MCSE NT4, I'd say he's been around IT a while and probably has had exposure to most of the material. -

Then again, in my job I am desktop support II. My job is fighting viruses, enforcing the security policy and I am the warm hands for the network team. The only part I wasn't familiar with was nuts and bolts of encryption and had to refresh on hardening the network. -
