Yikes, if you were new to the material, I hope you actually retain what you have studied.

Looking at his certification list, which includes MCSE NT4, I'd say he's been around IT a while and probably has had exposure to most of the material.

When I took the test I studied for for 8 days and passed.

Then again, in my job I am desktop support II. My job is fighting viruses, enforcing the security policy and I am the warm hands for the network team. The only part I wasn't familiar with was nuts and bolts of encryption and had to refresh on hardening the network.

Yes, I'm around for a while (20+ years), was doing all kind of stuff in an enterprise environment.

After my last layoff, I took a break for a year to do the best thing in the world - taking care about my new born son for a year!!!
Now I have to go back to business – certifications always helps.

Now I prepare for my MCSE upgrade to 2003, miss 293 and 294. Let’s see if I'm allowed to get again a week off (or more :)

Good luck to everyone with your certifications!icon_thumright.gif
