I didn't include any of the aggregation/news sites as they don't usually interest me and you can probably sniff those out yourself. There are a number of other bloggers who cover storage as part of their virtualization/sysadmin work, etc., but I haven't included those as they're scattered throughout different folders in my RSS reader.
Also you should subscibe to the (usually) weekly Infosmack Podcast hosted by Greg Knieriemen and Marc Farley. They cover a lot of what's going on in the land of storage, as well as other interesting things afoot in the world of Enterprise IT).
Hopefully you (and perhaps others here) find this list useful. -

Are there any of those "... for dummies" books out there for these? Ok, I'm joking, sort of...lol. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

After reading that and getting the basics (should be a fairly quick paced read), move onto EMC's book Information Storage and Management: Storing, Managing, and Protecting Digital Information as it dives into the material to a greater depth and uses their products as examples (while trying to remain vendor agnostic).
In keeping in-line with the theme of these forums, the ISM book also happens to be an excellent study guide for the EMC Information Storage Associate (EMCISA) certification exam or the SNIA Storage Network Foundations (SCSP) exam.
Hope that helps and good luck!
