I've found it would be... More cost effective.. to buy 3 NM-4a/s than 1 for my FR and 2 Wic-2A/S's.

Would this work for my serial needs? o.O

Not if you're going with the 1760's. They don't have an NM slot.

the only issue I have with eBay sellers, they only ship to confirmed paypal address. I may have to buy the equipment from 3-4 different sellers. That would mean 3-4 different shipping/arrival dates, and taking a day off from work on 3-4 different dates. Because, no one is at home to sign for it. *sigh*

Unless explicitly stated or you request such, you typically don't have to sign.

UPS just leaves it on my doorstep.

I hate this, because I have a feeling once people started learning I am in IT, I've already had 1 box stolen. Thankfully, it was just a 20$ bid for an old old old old old server. But still.

It's not the signature requirement part, I just dont trust my neighborhood when item(s) are left unattended all day. I dont even live in an apartment, but I still dont trust the neighborhood. I sent an email to one of the eBay seller, let's see if he/she is willing to ship to an alternate address.

For all the followers here, I have great news; The lab is now planned!

    1X 2509 Access Server w/ Octal Cable
    2X 1760 Routers w/ NM-2A/S Serial ports
    1X 2611 Router w/ NM-8A/S for Frame Relay
3X 2950 Catalyst Switches for being sexy

10X power cords (I found 3 laying around)
    Crimped over 20 3'', 5'' and 7'' Cat5e cables last night.
4X Smart Serial to Reg Set. cables
    4X Serial cables (b2b)
    2X Backup console cables

All with proper memory specs for 12.4/12.4T IOS installs, as well.

All I need now... Is a rack skeleton and I'm set.

Total cost; Just under 400$. :D

WHAAAAAT!!! I need to know where or who is the seller of these items... icon_lol.gif

I was just on eBay, looking at multiple vendors and found the least expensive items. But, the total cost w/o the cables is somewhere in the $500. For less than $400, items must have sold with the following unbelievable prices:

    1x 2611 $30
    2x 1760 $60
    3x 2950 120
    1x nm $20
    2x wic $30
    1x 2509 $80
    1x octal cable $15

    =$355
