Hi Everyone,
Thanks for reading my post.
My questions are:
1. Are Cisco ASA 5505 good for Cisco Security exams?
2. If so, what version of the IOS should I look for?
3. For Cisco 3550 switches, How do I find out if the switches have EMI or SMI images. If I type "sh ver" command, what part of the output, would show this information.
I would appreciate your help.

1- Cisco ASA 5505 is good for Cisco Security exams, EXCEPT for the CCNA Security. The CCNA Security focus on router and switch security. The ASA's are mentioned in the CCNA Security Cisco Press books, but just to give you an idea that they exist.
2- You can use IOS ver 8.2 and up
3- With the 3550 switches when you do a show ver. it should say something like "c3550-ipservicesk9-mz.122-44.SE2.bin" The version number will not be the same depending on what ver it's loaded on the switch. You are looking for "ipservices".CCNP Security - DONE!
