To wrap your head around in the VOIP arena?


1. CUCM
2. Unity/Unity Connection
3. UCCX/UCCE
4. Presence
5. Gateways


I'm curious to find out where are the problem areas?

    I'm just getting started on voice, so I kinda struggling with everything right now, lol. I have all this lab equipment, but I'm not even sure how to set up the PSTN router or how to run data over one of the vwic-2mft-t1/e1 ports (in my CCNA I only learned how to do it over wic-1t and 2t cards).

    That being said, from first glance UCCX/UCCE looks by far the scariest to start learning. Scripting...no thank you.

    I'm not struggling with anything, I'm just learning everything.

    I'd say presence at the moment. There is alot more to that than I am aware of.

    I'm in the same boat, trying to learn everything. I think thus far my weaknesses deal mostly with Gatekeepers & CUBEs. Trying to wrap my head around all the different RAS messages icon_scratch.gif

    Im struggling with the easiest thing ... G729 lol

    i feel stupid that i cant get cme site to site working on G729.

    loading up another router as we speak to test cuz this is getting out of hand!

    QoS. Fortunately, so far I haven't touched any real QoS case. //knock on the wood.

    UCCX is famous for lack of study materials. I spent 4 months to write it, but boy, I was angry when I thought about UCCE. Is that $7500 training the only way to learn it??? I don't even know where to start after I log on a customer's UCCE box.
