Just bought a CCNA lab on ebay. Did I get good value?

1. Two Cisco 2620XM Series Routers having 32MB FLASH, 128MB DRAM, 1 FAST ETHERNET PORT and 2-SERIAL PORTS along with SDM Configured, IOS version 12.4

2. Two Cisco 2924 Switches WS-C2924-XL switches with 8MB memory, 24 fast ethernet ports (WS-C2924-XL-A, WS-C2924-XL-EN or WS-C2924M-XL-EN will be provided depending on availability in stock. All models are same with 24 fast ethernet ports and 8 MB memory)

4. 2 Back to Back Serial Cables to connect Routers

5. 1 Console Cable to configure the Routers and Switches

6. 4 Power Cables

paid 235 plus shipping, which is about 30 bucks.

I'm planning on adding a 2950 and a 1924 from my own supply.

Seemed like a good deal to me, but wanted to check with folks who are much more knowledgeable than I am about this stuff.

    Is the IOS 12.4?

Do they come with Wic 2T's? 2A/S's? Do you have an NM-8A/S for Frame Relay?

Take into account the price of WIC's you need for an effective lab.

I can say it's a decent price, but you can pick up 128/32 2620xm's for 80$ a pop these days.

2924's are lower tier, aim for 2950's, better value for a modern lab.

I would avoid the kits, once you build your own and look back on this, you will see they tried to skimp out on the goods. Get it part by part.

not bad but i would reccommend at least 1 2950. The test and all the study material uses commands based on a 2950 and or 2960 switch.

I would recommend 2 2950 switches. If memory serves correctly, the 29**XL series did not support dot1q trunking (isl only) which you need to understand for the exam. There were a few other issues but I cannot remember what they are (been 16 months since I had my hands on a 29**XL.)

Great find and price! Considering fati_zee sells 2620xm for $129 each and 2924 for $59 a piece.

The 2620xm is what I was talking about. I mean, the price of 2x 2620xm alone already costs $258.

I saw a few 2620xm for $80 128/32. But, what if it doesnt have 12.4? How can you get the 12.4? I dont have a Cisco account.
