One of my coworkers changed his name from "Mohammad Longlastname" to "Dean Shortlastname" because of this. It's sad. Come to think of it, my first name is "Nnamdi", but I go by "Josh" 100% of the time.WGU B.S. Information Technology (Completed January 2013) -

unfortunately i have to agree as well. my name is 6 letters people still have problems with it and probably always will. I would suggest taking the opinions offered on shorting your first name to something acceptable to you or maybe using your middle name(if you have one). no one wants to give up their identity (birth right/culture) to fit in nor should they have to.
