I meant to post this earlier today but I was caught up with other things at work. I read this article earlier, and thought it was somewhat appropriate to this site.
Regardless of your personal/political beliefs in regards to Earth Day (disclosure: I'm married to a self-described "tree hugger") as IT professionals, I really believe it is in our best interest to have a general understanding that some of the stuff that goes in to electronics, really isn't that "nice". Also, since quite a few of us are consulted/have influence when it comes time to do a "tech refresh" in the workplace, we probably should really encourage the use of e-recycling and properly choose vendors who will dispose of/recycle e-waste in an environmentally friendly manner.
