Hello people, just wanted to know if I can take the ccnd1 exam alone and after a while take the ccnd2 exam?

Is it possible?

You can do the two exam option, which is the ICND1 exam (which earns you the CCENT Certification) and then the ICND2 exam which completes the requirements for the CCNA Certification.

An individual Cisco exam is good for 3 years to apply to a Certification -- so you have to take the ICND2 exam within 3 years of passing the ICND1 exam to earn the CCNA. But most people won't wait that long. :D

I'd suggest only a couple of days off between passing ICND1 and starting to study for ICND2 -- like take the test on a Friday, celebrate your Pass (or drown your sorrow if it turns out to have been a "practice test") all weekend, then get back to the books on Monday. :D

When you do pass ICND1, you can go into "maintenance mode" on subnetting practice. You can drop down to doing 3-5 questions from subnettingquestions.com every other day or so to keep up your subnetting skills.
