Hey all,

Passed Friday with an 861. Was sweating it till the demographic end. Very poorly worded exam. Had quite a few organizational and enviromental questions. Know your IDS! Hardly any port questions. Did not get the LDAP question that everybody seems to get. My next cert is going to be CIW web design specialist (for WGU) and hopefully will get my CCENT or CCNA by end of summer.

Thanks all!

I used Labsim along with reading through Gibsons book. I took some practice exams from various places (read: freebies). The week of the exam I used proprofs.com, went through the sticky notes on here, and reviewed any content I was not comfortable with. I have a tradition where I study the week of the exam hard all of the way to the day before and then I do nothing the day before the exam. It gives my brain some time to digest everything and get mentally prepared. About 90 minutes before the exam I will not review but I will go through some practice exams to get in the test taking mentality. I will warn you, the questions are very vague sometimes in this exam! Always remember to go with the easiest or most direct answer!

Congrats on the Pass! I agree the wording on the exam was interesting to say the least. I re-read many of the questions trying to figure out what they were asking for.

    NickDog,

I will take my test soon and I'm using the same material (i.e. Gibson and TestOut-LabSim). I've heard of people tell me they crammed with Gibson book for 2 days and took the exam with a passing grade on the 3rd day. I just feel I need some more time to get a passing grade; I don't have $266 to blow.

    CM,

Did you buy labsim or are you doing it through school? If you fail labsim will pay for you to retake it. Either way just take the labsim tests and when you can pass the simulation exam twice with a 95% or higher your good to go.
