Thats way outdated. It covers version 4 which I haven't seen in a few years in production. The current books out now cover ver 6x which is still way behind considering ver 7/8 added local route groups, globalization, and virtulization which are huge topics to cover.Currently Reading
CUCM SRND 9x/10, UCCX SRND 10x, QOS SRND, SIP Trunking Guide, anything contact center related -

CCNA voice
CME express book(I recommend this one over the CCNA Voice) I have both. The UC520 is EOS. The UC320W is what you are prob referring to which is all GUI based and I'm not sure how the current documentation in the other books would help you with that platform.Currently Reading

We are still running 4.3 though we are going to be upgrading to 7 in June I believe. -
levensailor Member Posts: 44 ■■□□□□□□□□I got the Sybex CCNA Voice (I've always loved Sybex for introduction books)..
However all it covers is CME and the UC500 series routers..
which is great, but I've been thrown in to doing a lot of full blown Call Manager 8.5 stuff! I've done so many installs lately i've already mastered the CME stuff and the CM is way different so arent there any books that cover full blown call manager 8.0/8.5 ??CCNP/CCDA/CCNA-Wireless/MCSA/MCITP/Network+/Security+

Flyingput Member Posts: 114 ■■■□□□□□□□Come on, there are still many 4x systems. I have received tons of recruitor emails for 6-8 month contractor jobs. Majority of them are for upgrading 3x4x (end of support) to 7x.

I would only recommend the CCNA version if you need CME material. The CUCM stuff is limited to basic user managment, phone config , day to day stuff. CIPT1 and 2 cover the same in more detail plus the actual dial plan config and advanced features.Working on CCIE Collaboration:
