write-cache enabled?

hey guys.
I have seen this a few times on our server event viewer and well
can I turn this off because I see no benefit in having it on.
I read a lot how crappy it is to have enabled? can I disabled it
and how? and what is the end result if I do what am I missing if it is turned off?

Sometimes it doesn't work, then you have to use RAID controller utilities. Write cache in general is very good thing, but controllers sometimes complains about write cache when it's enabled but is not battery protected.2013 to do list:
