Microsoft exams getting pricier!

While reading up on the new change in Microsoft certs, and them going up in price now, the thing that really irked me was the fact that "The retail price for Microsoft Certification exams in the U.S. and Canada will rise from $125 to $150, but it'll remain unchanged in counties like Ireland, Spain and Greece, whose economies are still shaky."
Are economy is not shaky???

Yeah, there was a thread on this a week or two back.
The reality of it is though, the MS certification test prices haven't been keeping up with inflation at all and even with this they're still below it.
Our economy isn't that bad...
I welcome the increase. It'll essentially make the MS certs more valuable as fewer people will pay for them. -

It isn't too much more. This is only their first increase in like 12 years. How many other places can make that claim?
Make sure you buy a cert pack prior to June. You could buy 5 tests for $500 (with free retakes if you need them) and not worry about this increase hitting your pocketbook until 2012.

And as Daking said, still cheaper than CompTIA.Decide what to be and go be it. -

Out of the joke, I somewhat think its ok the price increase.
Lets face it, MS cert price and with the offer they give, they were way cheaper and more accesible than other cert vendors.
With this it makes it on par, but at the same time, MS have a lot of path/tittles that wont grat you a tittle unless you take X number of certs.
This will make it a bit expensivemeh
