Well I am currently in the navy, im supposed but be seperating after this tour. I am really interested in Information Assurance. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where I should start?

Everyone Member Posts: 1,661Has your career in the Navy given you any Information Assurance experience? If so, that's a good start. If your Navy career has given you a security clearance, that will help a lot too.
IA is less technical and more policy/user education oriented. -
jtoast Member Posts: 226 ■■■□□□□□□□An active security clearance is a huge help in breaking into IA. If you combine that with your veterans preference bonus for being recently discharged, you should have a big advantage over most other applicants.
