root port

Hey guys i have got a doubt about root port . What happens when a switch has 2 ports and both are of equal cost to root switch which one becomes root port . Does the rules which we applt to designated ports on a link apply to this too ?

Lowest port ID by default
fa0/1 (128.1)
fa0/2 (128.2)

You can use port priority to control it remotely or port cost locally if you want to hard code fa0/2 as your root port and tweak it
