So I finally decided to upload my resume last week (May 11th/11). Since then I had 3 in person interviews and 5 phone interviews (all by contract temp agency). I was wondering what are my chances, REALLY with these temp agency.
Anyone had any experience dealing with them, going threw them. Just feels like they are giving me the run around (asking me to call back such and such (time, day), OR we should hear back from the X company soon, ill let you know as soon as the X hiring manager calls me back.
Please give me some advise, share your stories etc.. thanks ahead.

Stick with it and you'll get something out of it. There are a lot of considerations for contract work like whether to go W2, 1099 or corp to corp. I do corp to corp whenever it's an option for various reasons. On the other hand I'm also always on the lookout for decent direct hire positions.Thanks, Tom

I have even seen some internal recruiters from corporations that are flakes, too. However, you have to weed those out from the useful ones.
However, ALWAYS remember that the recruiters are working first for the company and not you!
Good Luck.I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.

PPforLife Member Posts: 60 ■■□□□□□□□□So yesterday (may 18 ) a recruiter calls and give her line..my name is, im from such and such...and ..after the little phone convo she asks me to come in on Friday for an interview and to sign some papers on (may 20th).
Today she calls me again May 19th and ask to go over my resume (the same line she used yesterday). She didnt even realized who i was and that i had an interview with her tomorrow. Let alone, Im Vietnamese so my name is pretty unusually.
Now im deciding if i should even go or not -

I was most comfortable with this interview, not sure if its b/c I "thought" she had nothing to offer me. But this process is getting "easier".
