3560 or 3750

Any reason not to get a 3750 over a 3560 if i can get both for the same price to build this lab?

the only arguement I'd make is that, if I'm remembering right, 3560's are what's used in the real lab, so I think it'd be better to get as close to the real lab setup as possible

The features and functionality is the same. You really should go for the 3750 instead because the 3560 is EOL now, so no new software upgrades will be available shortly.

The 3750 is still manufactured, so should the IE update the lab hardware, it will most likely be a 3750. Plus they look nicer with those brushed aluminum faceplates.

I thought the 3750s are EoL/EoS same as the 3560. I know that I can still order 3750 12-port SFP (3750G-12S-12) but other than that you have to order 3750v2 or 3560v2. Besides, the 3750v2 IOS images work with older hardware. I've never tried 3560v2 image to run on 3560v1 though.

I picked up a C3750 24 TS E and a C3750 24 PS S for about 700 bucks each. I think i got a pretty good deal?

That's not to bad I see them usually sell for around 1100+ on ebay, or 2800-3000 for the 48 port models. So I'de say you did good.
