For my home lab, I have three 2600 routers, two 2500 routers and six 2950 switches. The largest piece, the 2600 router is 17.5 inches deep.
I would prefer to save space in the room, but do not want a rack accident. Would a Skeletek C20U-HD 24" be safe, or do I need to buy the C20U-HD 30" for the extra depth?

Don't try to roll it far while it is full.
If you do try to roll it do it from the base.
Try to keep the heavier stuff on the bottom.
If you follow those rules you should be fine. -
