Cable Length Question
Hey everyone... long time visiter, first time poster... I think..
anyway, I've been studying for my Net+ (writing on Apr. 20)
My Question is...
For a 10baseT network, the length is 100m. Is this cable length or segment length?
On a segment, could you have 4 computer that are 100m apart?
Thx!

Now keep in mind that within a collision domain, there's the 5-4-3 rule, which gives you 5 segments total joined by 4 repeaters with no more than 3 populated segments (ie, have nodes on them). This is due to propogation delay.
Of course, when you throw switches into the mix and break up collision domains, things change a bit hehe= Marcus Drakonblayde
