Ok so I interviewed for a position 2 weeks ago today, last Friday they called and asked for references and said they would be in contact this week. I have not heard anything and called one of my references which also have not heard anything. Should I make that call today and if so what should I say?

I might wait until Monday to call since that gives them until the end of business Friday to follow up on their "promise" to get back to you. Plus they might still be recovering from the 3 day weekend.:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -

One day could mean the difference between getting a job or not, so contact them today in my opinion. I have gotten several jobs because I practically annoyed them, its a fine line

The first one who had the initiative to follow up got the offer.
Of course common sense says you don't stalk the guy or go all telemarketer on him... -

CEO was to be out all this week so I figured it would be waiting time. 8:10 rolls around and I get a call from the COO. Would love to have me on staff and sent an offer letter. it is about 17% more than I make but comes with 401k, dental and vision and a better medical plan. I was so elated I dont think I am going to even try to counter there offer.
