Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModThere are lost of books I need to read, but there's one that I found at the local Border's the other day that I wish I had the time to sit down and read through:
Hacking Exposed: Computer Forensics
I paged through it for a while, and it was really interesting. . . but, I had to put it down eventually and get back to math books that rival Cisco Press CCIE books in sheer length.

+1 Limoncelli should be required reading for everyone in IT, especially the Time Management Book.
POSNA I could I be a little more forgiving on, it's a weighty tome, but it's still worth it's weight in gold. The day I got my copy, I took it into work (was at a previous job) and started reading excerpts in the NOC, generally those regarding good practices.
We had a good laugh, and all agreed that management should read this book. We also agreed it was good we had no alcohol on hand, because we could have made one hell of a drinking game for everything we were doing wrong, as illustrated by POSNA -
Forsaken_GA Member Posts: 4,024As far as the post goes... to be honest, I have so many 'to be read' books, it's not funny. I keep picking up new stuff before I finish the old stuff. My wishlist used to be absolutely massive, but then I bought most of it up.
However, I am eagerly awaiting

It's a good book. It's a little dated, but it's still got some useful info, and makes a good jumping off point -

So based on my experience, I think Mastering Microsoft Virtualization is enough for 70-652, 659, 669, 693, 403, and 656. Granted you probably wouldn't take both 652 and 659, but still, one book for five exams is great!MentholMoose

When five of its hackers attacked security company HBGary Federal on February 6, 2011, they were doing so in order to defend the group’s privacy. It wasn’t because they hoped to reveal plans to attack WikiLeaks, create surveillance cells targeting pro-union organizations, and sell sophisticated rootkits to the US government for use as offensive cyber weapons—but that’s what they found.
In the weeks after the attack, the hackers released tens of thousands of e-mail messages and made headlines around the world. Aaron Bar, the CEO of HBGary Federal, eventually resigned; 12 Congressman called for an investigation; an ethics complaint was lodged against a major DC law firm involved with some of the more dubious plans.

This looks really interesting. Anyone read it yet? -
Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModI have to admit, I've had this on my wishlist for a while, as well: Zero Day: A Novel.
On the one hand, it looks to be another attempt to make hacking into an Ocean's 11 style heist, in the flavor of Tom Clancy style political intrigue. On the other, it's written by Mark Russinovich. I might pick it up sometime soon, just to sate my curiosity.
