It's quite basic, but very lucidly written. It works especially well as a glossary for me, so I'm not really complaining.

This book (The Practice of System and Network administration) is a must read for every IT Pro. It really teach you how to work in a tech agnostic way. Sometime, I present this book to co-worker as 5 years of exp in a book.
