Hi,
First time poster here.
I just passed C.C.N.A. without any **** or whatever they are called.
Studied by myself and just lurked around looking at people's problems/topics unless you know exactly what you are looking for and then move away from PC and go back to study.
I suggest anyone who wants to get it done with stick with ONE book and don't waste your time checking Internet for problems.
The way I wasted time was going on Youtube, searching for assistance with a Topic and then watching 5 more takes (By different users) and getting bored.
I used Todd Lammel's Book all the way through.
Funny thing is I lost marks on the basic stuff and got 100% on everything advance.
Good Luck.
Lab:
b.t.w I bought 3 Cisco 2500 Routers + 1 290 and 2 3548 XL(Garbage)
Ever since I discovered GNS3 I stopped buying Routers.....
Any suggestions are welcome for the new comers. Please post!

Moeeed Member Posts: 24 ■□□□□□□□□□Version 6.
I also bought v7 of the the book.
Honestly Todd sometimes babbles on about irrelivent stuff.
I looked at the topics from Cisco's website printed them and then went ahead.
One important thing I will say is mandatory is looking at Routing tables in actual routers. -

My advice is to try to stay calm and relax. -

sthompson86 Member Posts: 370Congrats on the pass. I myself have been searching around on Youtube watching random videos, and I agree some are good, but most are a waist time especially the amount of time I spend looking for a specific video.Currently Reading: Again to Carthage - CCNA/Security

amm 7 was recently released.... Version 6 contains more specific topics...
like in ver 7 Switching section - you don't need to read or learn to configure EtherChannel or VoIP. -
ITdude Member Posts: 1,181 ■■■□□□□□□□Congrats to you both. Great going!I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.
