Can someone explain to me why Callmanager 6 on my VM is so slow?

The server(Compaq proilant ML350) I'm running is windows 2003 with VMworkstation 7, 3.5 Gigs of RAM and an Intel XEON 2.20Ghz.
The call manager VM has been allocated 1 gigs of RAM, 2 processors and an 80gig harddrive

1 gig of ram is barley enough to get it past take off, it will fly, but not fast.Currently Reading
CUCM SRND 9x/10, UCCX SRND 10x, QOS SRND, SIP Trunking Guide, anything contact center related -

I increased memory to 2GIG but still crawling!
