Protection from DoS for Windows

I host a gaming server and have been experience DoS attacks on the port the game server runs on. I've found many articles on security recommendations for Linux OS's but I have yet to find any suitable security solution for Windows. What would you security experts recommend?

Give us some more information about the server such as what games you are hosting, the OS you are running, firewall specs, ISP, Router, etc. if you want some real help.
