getting into SQL

hey everyone:

I have a question thats on behalf of my colleague he wants to know that as a System Administrator which SQL should he learn e.g database development,database administration thats related to System Administration?

I'd suggest looking at MS SQL Server (T-SQL). Might as well start with SQL Server 2008 R2. You can download the express version for free.
