Currently an MCSE

Massive departure from CCIE, however work pressure is mounting to update my MCSE to keep us looking sharp for our clients.
I currently hold MCSA and MCSE 2003, and would like to ultimately get MCITP:EA and SA
Now when I did MCSE, I got MCSA "on the way" - is this still the case with MCITP?
Looking at the exam guides at Microsoft, I would need only 70-649, 647 and one client (I've already done 620) to get the MCITP:EA. Do I need the SA? I guess then it would be another two exams to get the SA qualification as well?
TIA

So you could get the Server Administrator along the way if you wanted to. But realistically you probably wouldn't need the SA if you had the EA.
Your some man to try an keep up a CCIE attempt and update your MCSE! -

ForeverIT27 Member Posts: 60 ■■□□□□□□□□is MCSE still available to take or does it have a different name? What are the recommended books for this cert.
Thanks -
Cthu1hu Member Posts: 52 ■■■□□□□□□□@ForeverIT27 Yes the MCSE is still available. Most have have good luck with the MSPress set of books as well as Sybex (I used both), but you shouldn't rely solely on just that material.

Microsoft has restructured and renamed some of their certifications when going to Vista/7/2008. MCSE is still out there for 2003, but there will be no MCSE on 2008. If you want certified on 2008 you will be looking to do MCITP:EA.Decide what to be and go be it.
