Failed 70-640 Second time

impelseimpelse Member Posts: 1,237 ■■■■□□□□□□
I felt the exam easy, but not, I got 640 in my second attempt.

I used Trainsignal and MCTS 70-640 Cert Guide and selftest. I lab a lot (follow all the trainsignal lab). This is disapointed, I am checking right now safari for the second version of the Selft Training Kit (second edition). I left tw weeks between the first and second attemtp, I will study for another month and we will see.

Any suggestion.

I hate to hear that. I know how bummed out you feel, as I failed mine today also. Hang in there and get back on that horse. You'll do good on the next take.

I failed it my first time too, better luck next time, study your weak areas. The exam is pretty obscure I know....it's really impossible to fully be prepared for the test, gotta be able to analyze the questions and use your best judgement, espescially when it asks for Powershell Syntax.

Don't get down. I missed my first one with a 680...I'm taking it again this Wednesday. I have the printout of my results pinned up next to my desk to make sure I remember my weak areas. You do the same. Good luck to you.

Make sure you are using the revised 70-640 trainsignal course with Ed Liberman. My understanding is that the original course was lacking in content and had mistakes.

    Hello all,

I am also a fellow sufferer as I did not bode well on my very first exam. (I am new to 2Kicon_cool.gif. Scored only a 620.

Sherrill, you mentioned that you have your printed results. How do you obtain the results from the exam? Does MS send them to you via email? My weak points are server roles and ad.

I actually extremely well with AD CS, which I thought was I was very weak in.

In my experience the testing center has always given me a print out at the end of the exam.

Im another person who failed this exam with a 680. Like the others on this forum, this sucker isnt going to be me. I plan on doing the second shot in a few weeks time after ive had a chance to go over the weak areas.

After the exam you should have got a print out with your score and series of 'bars' from weak to strong indicating how you went in each of the areas.

When you finish the exam they give you a sheet of paper with the resolt and weak/stron areas
