For experienced engineers and techs in the house,can you give your views about Excelsior and WGU.

    Excelsior can be a great place to pile up credits toward a degree, and even better if you plan to transfer to WGU later. My standing recommendation is that folks get an AS from Excelsior, then transfer to WGU for the BS.

    Excelsior's computer-related BS program is tougher and requires more math if you stick with it, but has a cheaper per-year cost as far as base tuition goes (your classes, though, may cost significantly more than WGU depending on where you take them).

    Excelsior's programs are more academically oriented where WGU emphasizes practical application.
    Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.
